COUNTY EXECUTIVE ORDER OPENS VACCINATIONS TO 65 AND OLDER THIS WEEK
Yesterday, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors released an executive order directing county health officials to make COVID-19 vaccination appointments available to residents 65 and older beginning this Thursday, Jan. 21. This news comes on the heels of California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s recent announcement that he is opening vaccine administration to residents 65 and older. As per LA County Department of Public Health (LACDPH), supply remains extremely limited. LACDPH is working urgently with federal and state partners to expand capacity and supply in the weeks ahead.
