Rebecca Pestle, M.M.Sc., PA-C

I’m Rebecca Pestle MMSc, PA-C and I joined Mellman Medical in January 2014. I have expertise in general Internal Medicine including treatment of hyperlipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and general preventive medicine. My goal is to collaborate with our patients to maximize their level of wellness and discover root causes of existing problems. Hippocrates said “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” and I incorporate this into my practice. It’s been an honor working along side Dr. Mellman and getting to know the patients in this practice, as well as growing the practice. I have a Bachelor of Science from TCU and completed my Masters in Nutrition at Emory University. I worked as a nutritionist in Atlanta, GA for 6 years before becoming a PA. I completed my Physician Assistant degree at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana where I went on to practice Internal Medicine for nearly 18 years. I have recently completed continuing education in functional medicine. My husband, Daniel, and I moved to Southern California from Montana where we lived and raised our two daughters. Daniel teaches at Manhattan Beach Middle School and both of our girls now live in California. Hana is a singer/songwriter/producer living in downtown LA and Skyler is a senior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I grew up in Playa del Rey, so we decided to get out of the cold and come enjoy the California weather. We recently bought a sailboat and it’s been fun learning ‘the ropes”. I look forward to seeing you in the office.
